UT EID Self-Service Tools

What can this site help me do?

The UT EID is your online account at The University of Texas at Austin. Click the links below to see what the UT EID will help you do.

expand Prospective Students

Once you submit your ApplyTexas application for admission, you will receive a UT EID to access MyStatus and to complete other admissions related processes.

You may already have a UT EID if you have sent the university test scores such as SAT, ACT or GRE. Use the tools listed to the left to find or manage your existing UT EID.

If you do not yet have a UT EID, you will receive it via email no later than 2-3 days after you submit your AppyTexas application. Creating a second UT EID may delay the processing of your application, so you should wait to complete the additional application processes that require a UT EID.

expand Current Students

You should already have a UT EID. You use it to register for classes, access the campus network and Canvas, apply for financial aid, and many other activities. Use the tools listed to the left to manage your UT EID. You may also want to visit the Student Resources page which has more information about student services.

expand Former Students and Alumni

You probably already have a UT EID, although if you attended the university prior to 1996 you may not be aware that you have one. Use the tools listed to the left to find or manage your UT EID. If you find your UT EID, you may need to call the UT Service Desk at 512-475-9400 to create or reset your password and update your contact information.

You can use your UT EID to access online services for former students, such as ordering transcripts, applying for re-admission, enrolling in continuing and professional education. Visit the Student Resources and Alumni Resources pages to learn about additional services available to you.

expand Parents and Family

Parents need a UT EID to use the eProxy system which helps authorized individuals arrange payments for a student's expenses.
Parents should not use their student's UT EID.

Use the tools listed to the left to get a UT EID or to find and manage an existing UT EID. Review the Visitor Resources page to learn about additional services available to you.

expand Job Applicants
